Description
The FACS Aria III is a robust cuvette based cell sorter, with fixed alignment of lasers, to simply adjustemnet and sort setup. Its three lasers allow the simultaneous excitation and detection of up to 12 colors. Main applications are:
- Sterile cell sorting of up to 4 subpopulations simultaneously
- Sterile bulk and single-cell sorting into multiwell-plates (24, 48, 96 and 384 wells)
The BD FACS Aria III can only be used in the presence of an operator (user). Startup, shutdown and system configuration are exclusively performed by trained Core Facility staff in order to prevent instrument damage and down-times. Power users might apply for a spezialized training to allow them autonomous use of the instrumentation upon certification.
