10.30 – 12.00             Flow Cytometry:

What’s in the Box; Principals and technology of Flow Cytometry and how this is relevant to your application, experimental design and analysis. This includes the instrumental set-up, optics, filters, staining, nomenclature and troubleshooting. Furthermore, we will discuss the impact and requirements of instrument settings for required sensitivity for your experiment.

12.45 – 14.00             How to Stain what:

Learn more about the properties of the different available dyes and how to use this information for your Panel Design in Multicolor Flow Cytometry.

Relevant and required tools to optimize quality, accuracy, precision, and sensitivity of your analysis towards your experimental requirements to receive valuable and relevant data.

15.30 – 16.00             Analysis of the cellular Functional Phenotype by active metabolism

Phenotype MicroArrays are designed to enable a comprehensive characterization of a cell’s physiological pathways for processing nutrients and handling stress. They interrogate metabolic pathways and chemical sensitivity properties of cells, allowing scientist to discover ways to optimize, inhibit or simply compare cellular behavior and Mitochondrial activity.

16.00 – 16.30             Spectral Flow Cytometry

Spectral Flow Cytometry is a technique based on conventional Flow Cytometry where a spectrograph and multichannel detector is substituted for the traditional mirrors, optical filters and photomultiplier tubes in conventional systems.
