We aim to implement spatial biology approaches in our research across disciplines

Goals

  • Consulting – to enable researchers at the University to pick and use spatial biology and single cell technologies efficiently
  • Access – bundle the instruments and know-how under an umbrella structure to provide access to spatial technologies across faculty(ies)
  • Enable projects – use the expertise of the researchers in charge of the instruments to create an added value through collaborations
  • Harmonization – determine common processing pipelines and SOPs to promote reproducibility
  • Integrated data analysis – enable combined analysis of pre-processed data using unified pipelines
  • Sustainability – common purchasing of large equipment, shared tasks among groups, benchmarking for new protocols, usage of common licenses, and identification of open-source software
  • New technologies – Tech-watch capabilities and develop new technologies through external funds (CZI funding Krabbe/Gökce)
  • Future developments – Identify what can be developed into a core facility in the future
  • Interact – actively engage with leading companies within the spatial technology sector to foster co-developments
